Got his kicks for Exponent 66
Long-time Brooklyn Exponent employee Harry Cogan retired – for good this
time – earlier in the month. A surprise retirement party was held for Cogan
last week at the Cruise Inn on US-12. Cogan worked for the Brooklyn newspaper
for 66 years, starting as a linotype operator and completing his tour of duty
as a proofreader. His wife, Holly, is semi-retired and will continue to cover
township and school meetings on a limited basis. The duo has more than 110
years of experience in the newspaper business.
